Turn your passion for wine into a career in just one year.

The need for skilled winemakers increases in tandem with the number of new wineries popping up in Michigan each year. Our goal is to help grow the industry by sharing the art, science and business of winemaking with the next generation of vintners.

Lake Michigan Vintners is the Midwest's first and only teaching winery and tasting room. We work in partnership with Lake Michigan College to provide students with practical, hands-on experience in every aspect of winemaking and vineyard management. Growing the Future of Michigan Wine

Our team has a remarkable depth of knowledge when it comes to making great wine. Part of our mission is to use our experience and expertise to make the most of southwest Michigan's wine-friendly soil and climate.

Another part of our team's mission is to share our considerable knowledge of the wine industry with the students of Lake Michigan College's Wine and Viticulture Technology Program. By focusing on practical, hands-on learning, students become skilled collaborators who are capable of producing some of the finest wines the region has to offer. Our hope is that students contribute to the fabric of Michigan's burgeoning wine industry and the wine industry in general.

Farm-to-Table Learning
Students are taught all aspects of the wine industry from the soil to the tasting room, including marketing, sensory and chemical analysis, distribution, and compliance. Students who complete the program will earn an Associate in Applied Science in Wine and Viticulture Technology.
